Covedale Center for the Performing Arts Will hold Auditions for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN The 09/10 Covedale season closer!
The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts will hold auditions for one of the most celebrated and beloved musicals of all time, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN at the following dates and times:
Monday, November 16, 2009, 7:00 - 10:00 pm and Tuesday, November 17, 2009, 7:00 - 10:00 pm
All auditions will be held at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Avenue in West Price Hill.
Adult (16 + years of age) MUST HAVE A PERFORMANCE RESUME to audition and must be able to provide a resume listing theatrical experience.
Cast includes many roles for adult males, females, singers, dancers and actors.
Please prepare: A period song that best represents your voice and range. Also, prepare a one minute monologue as well. You may be asked to learn a short tap combination as well. Please dress appropriately.
Rehearsals begin Monday, February 15, 2010.
Performance dates: March 25 - April 11, 2010. All roles are paid positions.
The Show: You remember the plot. You love the characters. You know "the song." Based on the MGM film (1952) 1920s Hollywood is the setting for this zany, light-hearted romantic comedy about the early days of sound film, when many a movie studio found itself scrambling to salvage the career of its chipmunk-voiced silent picture star. Great songs like "Good Morning", "Make ‘Em Laugh", "All I Do Is Dream of You" and the title song, "Singin' In The Rain" fill the show!
