Adam just received this international recognition by winning 1st Prize at the prestigious Clara Haskil Piano Competition. He recently joined the class of Evgeni Koroliov in Hamburg who is himself 1er Prize Clara Haskil 1977.
In 2010/11 Adam Laloum is invited at the Verbier Festival, Klavier Festival Ruhr, Festival de l’Epau, Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron, Festival de Saintes, Festival de l’Orangerie de Sceaux, Festival Piano aux Jacobins, Festival Piano en Valois, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Société Chopin de Bern, and is also in recital at the Tonhalle Zürich, Théâtre de Vevey, Festival Piano Passion de Saint-Etienne, Folles Journées de Nantes, Palais des Beaux-arts Bruxelles, Festival de Nohant etc… This year, he is the soloist of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg under the baton of M°Jesus Lopez Cobos, and of the Hamburger Symphoniker performing Brahms piano concerto n°2, M°Muhai Tang conducting.
Born in 1987, Adam starts the piano at the age of 10 and makes his musical studies at the Toulouse Conservatory, before starting at the Paris National Conservatoire in 2002 in the class of Michel Béroff. During his studies in Paris, he has the opportunity to work with such artists as Daria Hovora, Jean Mouillère, Claire Désert, Christian Ivaldi, Ami Flammer or Vladimir Mendelssohn (with whom he played Brahms and Schumann quintets). During his scholarship, Adam met and attended master classes of such personalities as Dmitri Bashkirov or Paul Badura-Skoda.
He received his Diploma in June 2006 and continued at the Lyon CNSM in Géry Moutier’s classes. This allows him to play Brahms 2nd piano Concerto with Orchestre du Conservatoire de Lyon under the direction of Peter Csaba.
He plays Mozart Concerto n°24 with Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne under M°Jesus Lopez Cobos, as part of the Clara Haskil Competition, and is invited by Shenzen Symphony Orchestra, Ukrainian Philharmonic Orchestra, WDR Stuttgart etc.
Adam Laloum is a very fine and passionate chamber music partner. He takes part of the Ravel Academie in September 2007 and work on the great repertoire with Jean-Claude Pennetier. He win the 1st prize Maurice Ravel and plays at the Saint Jean de Luz Chamber Music Festival.
His first CD includes Brahms works (Mirare) and is published at the beginning of 2011. He is laureate of the French Foundation and of Fondation Groupe Banque Populaire.
