"My Momma's Era" is more than just a musical - It's a journey through time, culture, and truth, Seen through the eyes of a mother who lived it, this powerful stage production brings to life the struggles and triumphs of Black families who migrated from the South to Chicago during the Great Migration. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Bronzeville, the show weaves together history through music, acting, dancing and narration to celebrate the legacy of Black excellence. It takes you back to the great Regal Theater with breathtaking portrayals of Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitgerald, Dinah Washington and Cab Calloway. It also takes to Club Delisa and dynamic portrayal of Etta James and song tribute to the late Minnie Ripperton. This production is more than entertainment, it's edutainment. Where education and entertainment meet to honor the past, challenge the past, and inspire the future. My Momma's Era speaks to generations.
