Haven, a workshop production at The Outer Loop Theater Experience

From The Outer Loop Theater Experience, comes the workshop production of Haven, an immersive, timely and important new play (still in development) by Jessica Sater. Come on in and take a seat in Shawna's scrappy neighborhood hair salon, located on a rapidly gentrifying street and hanging on by a thread... amidst the fall of Roe v. Wade.

This is the inaugural production of the Inner Enso series. The Outer Loop's Inner Enso is an all-female circle of artistic decision-making with the mission of shifting the arts community toward balance. Too often, the woman's perspective is left out of the story, so we wanted to create a space solely made up of women to remedy that. The circle consists of 5 women who create one production per season for the Inner Enso Series, which tells stories that center the experience of being a woman.

This show will run for only 4 performances live and in-person - with post show discussions and talkbacks - at Raven Theatre in Chicago, IL.
