WildClaw Theatre Company proudly presents the world premiere production of NIGHT IN ALACHUA COUNTY opening September 8th and running through October 7th at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. WildClaw, Chicago's premiere horror theater, continues their 2017 season with a disturbing new work by Chicago playwright Jennifer Rumberger. After staying away for 17 years, Violet returns home to a back-woods part of Florida to face the mother and sister she left behind, and the disturbing secrets they share... and also some necromancy and an eyeless demon creature. Morgan Gire will serve as Stage Manager, Shandee Vaughan* as Production Manager, and Kim Boler as Assistant Director.

Jennifer Rumberger (Playwright) is a Chicago-based playwright and performer. ReceNT Productions include Open Blue Sky at Stella Adler/Tisch School of the Arts and The Bride with the Living Room Playmakers and Chicago Fringe Festival. Jennifer's work has been developed or presented by The Lark Playwrights Center, id Theatre Company, The Gift Theatre Company, Black Box Acting Studio, The Living Room Playmakers, Commission Theatre Company, Wordsmyth Theatre Company, White Rose Miami, Northwestern University, The Seven Devils Playwrights Conference and Chicago Dramatists. She recently performed her nonfiction prose as a part of Hybridsalon3 with the Genesis Ensemble and as a part of TEN 2017 at the Gift Theatre Company. She was a 2015 nominee for the PoNY Fellowship and a 2015 semifinalist for the P73 Playwriting Fellowship, and a 2016 finalist for the Ingram New Works Playwrights Lab. She is a founding member and associate playwright with the Living Room Playmakers in Chicago. MFA: Northwestern University.

Christopher M. Walsh (Director) has been a company member and literary manager of WildClaw Theatre since 2015. He was a two-time Deathscribe finalist, winning the coveted Bloody Axe in 2014, and contributed to WildClaw's 2015 live horror anthology Motel 666. He is also a member of Lifeline Theatre, where he directed the 2016 production of Midnight Cowboy, and wrote the scripts for Miss Holmes (2017 Non-Equity Jeff Award nominee: Best Production - Play), Soon I Will Be Invincible, A Tale of Two Cities (2015 Non-Equity Jeff Award nominee: Best New Adaptation), The City and The City, and The Count of Monte Cristo. He has also appeared onstage in such memorable productions as the House Theatre's Season on the Line (2015 Equity Jeff Award nominee: Best Ensemble), and Lifeline's Monstrous Regiment (2015 Non-Equity Jeff Award nominee: Best Production - Play).
