Jewish Community Centers of Chicago (JCC) will hold its annual Benefit Concert, featuring Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell, with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on Monday, November 5 at 7:30PM at Symphony Center, 220 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago.  Tickets are available at a variety of price points by calling the JCC at (312) 357-4700.

The JCC's Annual Benefit Concert is an integral component of its annual fundraising campaign that supports the diverse programs and services offered at 19 metropolitan Chicago area sites.  JCC has a history of more than 100 years of delivering life-enriching programs and services that serve more than 35,000 people more than 1.4 million times each year within the Chicagoland community.

"Three-time Grammy Award-winner Joshua Bell will perform in Chicago in the midst of a world tour taking him from his home-state of Indiana all the way to Hong Kong.  Following the galactic success of Josh's 2003 release 'Romance of the Violin,' which sold over 5,000,000 copies, Josh released his most recent work titled 'Voice of the Violin.'  Released in September of 2006, 'Voice of the Violin' has remained in the top ten on Billboard's classical music chart since its release," state press notes, "Josh started accumulating his lengthy list of awards with the receipt of the prestigious Avery Fisher Artists Program Career Grant in 1986 at the age of 18.  The award recognizes instrumentalists that the grant program feels have promising solo careers.  Things came full circle this year when Josh won the award again nearly 20 years after winning his first."

In 1998, Josh earned Gramophone Award, an honor widely recognized as being the gold standard for contemporary classical genre music awards.   Josh also recorded the award winning score for the movie The Red Violin, for which composer John Corigliano won the Oscar for Best Original Score.

Tickets for the November 5 Benefit Concert are available at a variety of prices and seating locations, including: main floor: $350, $275 and $175 per ticket; balcony seating: $200, $150 and $95 per ticket; and gallery seating: $55 per ticket.  Theater boxes of six seats are available for $3,000 per box.
