The Gift Theatre presents Martin McDonagh's The Lonesome West directed by Gift ensemble member Sheldon Patinkin and featuring Gift ensemble members John Connolly, Paul D'Addario and John Gawlik, with guest artist Brittany Burch. 'The Lonesome West' opens November 1st to the press and November 4th to the public; previews October 28-31. The Lonesome West plans to run from November 4 to December 19. Showtimes are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 P.M., Sundays at 2:30 PM. The Gift Theatre offers 'Come Closer Event' on Sunday, November 21st where audience members are invited to stay after the matinee and enjoy whiskey, beer and good Irish music with a panel of Irish literature scholars and the cast. Tickets are limited.

Nominated for Tony Award for Best Play, The Lonesome West is the third play in Martin McDonagh's Connemara trilogy which includes The Skull of Connemara and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Ensemble member Sheldon Patinkin, who directed The Gift's critically acclaimed, Jeff Nominated production of Beauty Queen, returns to direct the hilariously violent examination of brotherly love.

Artistic Director Michael Patrick Thornton says, "I'm thrilled to conclude our season with the ghoulish fun that only McDonagh provides and am delighted John Gawlik-with whom I did A Skull In Connemara at Northlight-has now come full circle in Leenane." Gawlik also performed in The Beauty Queen of Leenane at The Gift in 2007. With Lonesome West, he will complete the Leenane trilogy.

The Gift Theatre is dedicated to telling great stories on stage with honesty and simplicity. With the conception of The Lab-an ensemble-only forum dedicated to artistic growth and exploration-The Gift continues to deepen its commitment to the idea of ‘ensemble' by training together on an ongoing basis. Previous and future instructors in The Lab include Sheldon Patinkin, Jeff Perry, and Dr. Eric Forsythe.

Previous productions include Suicide, Incorporated, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Almost, Maine, Santa's Great American Depression Holiday Show!
