Steppenwolf Presents 'Good Boys and True,' Opens Dec.21

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Good Boys and True by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, directed by Pam MacKinnon.  The production, featuring ensemble member Martha Lavey with Stephen Louis Grush, Nick Horst, Mark Minton, Kelly O'Sullivan, John Procaccino, Tim Rock and Kelli Simpkins, runs December 12, 2007-February 16, 2008, in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre (1650 N. Halsted, Chicago).

"Brandon Hardy is brilliant, athletic and charming, the kind of young man that makes St. Joe's Preparatory School proud. When the Ivy League-bound senior becomes the center of a scandal that threatens to destroy his future, his mother must sort fact from fiction," explain press notes.

Playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama.  His plays include Based on a Totally True Story, Dark Matters and Say You Love Satan.  He is also known for his work on the Marvel comic books Fantastic Four and Spider-Man.

Previews are December 12-20; officially opening December 21 at 7:30PM with performances through February 16, 2008.  There are no performances on December 25 and January 1.

Show times are Tuesday through Sunday at 7:30PM; Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3PM; and Wednesday matinees on January 16, 23, 30 and February 6 at 2PM.

Tickets are previews: $20-$45; general: $20-$68. Twenty $20 tickets are available at Audience Services beginning at 11AM on the day of each performance.  Half-price rush tickets are available one hour before each show.  To purchase call 312-335-1650 or visit www.steppenwolf.org.
