Step Up's World Premiere of DARLIN' to Play Athenaeum Theatre, 3/7-4/13=

Step Up Production will continue its 2013-14 season with the world premiere of Joshua Rollins' dark comedy DARLIN', directed by Ilesa Duncan, playing March 7 - April 13, 2014 at The Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. The press performances are Tuesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 13 at 8 pm.

DARLIN' features Elizabeth Antonucci, Elizabeth Birnkrant, Jake Carr, Todd Michael Kiech, Bradford Lund, Annie Neal and John Wehrman. Additional casting to be announced.

It's the middle of the night and Clementine just checked in to a no name motel off of I-80 in Iowa. There she meets a mixed bag of regulars with their own secrets - Smith the caretaker, Dee the cleaning lady, Troy the ex-quarterback, Kenny the drug dealer - who all want to know what she's running from and what the story is behind the two child seats in the back of her car.

Partial proceeds from DARLIN' will benefit the House of Good Shepherd. As part of its mission, Step Up Productions donates a portion of its proceeds to organizations in and around Chicago that support issues often highlighted in its productions.
