Stage Door Chicago: Interview with Sharon K. McGhee

By:

Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues its 2008 Traffic Series with The PocketBook Monologues on January 14, 2008 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N. Halsted). "The art of storytelling continues with The PocketBook Monologues; an engaging collection of stories from women of color that reveals their heartfelt emotions about intimacy, performed in the style of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, but from the Black female perspective," explain press notes, "The women's brutally honest, funny and poignant recollections engage the audience in never-told stories about women's connections to their 'pocketbooks.'"
