Riverfront Theater Opens in Chicago, 5/30
Riverfront Theater will welcome – direct from Dublin – The Twelve Tenors. The five-day production is the first of a series of summer programming in the 70-foot tall, 22,000 square foot temperature-controlled tent along the scenic Chicago River.
Joining The Twelve Tenors, as the Thirteenth Tenor, on opening night, May 30, is Chicago's own TV personality and host of the wildly popular radio show, "Mr. Fix It," is Lou Manfredini. Manfredini will sing several songs with the famous group throughout the evening. The Twelve Tenors, with their great looks and incredible voices are twelve of Ireland's finest singers. The hugely talented group will perform some of the best music of the 20th Century, including famous Irish Classics, opera, pop and swing. Performing to sold out crowds around the world, The Twelve Tenors' hits include "Danny Boy, Cockles and Mussels," "You Raise Me Up," "Neesun Dorma," That's Life," "Twist and Shout," "Hey Jude," and many more. During their exclusive Chicago engagement, The Twelve Tenors will also feature Irish dancing creating an unforgettable evening.
Manfredini stars as special guest and "13thTenor" for one night only during The Twelve Tenors only Chicago engagement. Manfredini is the host of Chicago's wildly popular WGN Radio's Mr. Fix-It Program, the national program House Smarts TV, and a regular contributor on NBC's Today Show and NBC 5 Chicago. "If you listen to my show you know I love to sing. Hopefully the fact that I'm a Baritone and not Irish won't bring the whole thing down, I am very excited to be a part of this and I know it will be a lot of fun," said Manfredini.
