Casting is complete for Northwestern University's 66th Annual Dolphin Show, the largest student produced musical in the nation. Leading the cast of Carousel is Jason Heymann as Billy Bigelow and Emma Rosenthal as Julie Jordan and Louise Bigelow.

Also featured are Catherine LeFrere as Mrs. Mullins; Alex Weisman as Enoch Snow; Lauren Rankin as Nettie Fowler and Julie Bigelow, Sally Eidman as Carrie Pipperidge; and Peter Terry as Jigger Craigin.

Performances are January 25 through February 2, 2008 at the Cahn Auditorium at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). Show times are Fridays & Saturdays at 8PM; Sundays at 2PM.

"Written in 1945, Carousel follows the tragic story of Billy, a tormented carousel barker, Julie, a mill worker, and their legacy of love and violence. Set in Maine at the turn of the century, the play challenges our modern perspectives on spirituality and relationships by examining the values of days gone by," explain press notes, "Blending fantasy with harsh reality, the story whirls through moments of passion, fear, and longing, with one of the greatest scores of all time, featuring 'If I Loved You' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone.'"

In its 66th year, The Dolphin Show is the nation's largest student produced musical. Boasting With Broadway production values and a team of over a hundred passionate students from diverse backgrounds, The Dolphin Show is truly epic in scale. From its humble roots in a swimming pool in 1940 as a fundraiser for the Dolphin Club to its now 66th incarnation in Cahn Auditorium where it has lived for the past 37 years, The Dolphin Show has been a Northwestern University tradition enjoyed by thousands.

On top of being a dazzling production, The Dolphin Show is also dedicated to engaging the greater Chicagoland community though extensive philanthropy, outreach programming and community-focused events. Dolphin's Educational Outreach program allows hundreds of underprivileged students to see the show for free, our Senior Matinee and Reception connects community members to Northwestern students, and our partnership with OASIS—a student-volunteerism organization on campus—has given Dolphin new ways to reach out.
