Adapted from the epic novel by Feodor Dostoyevsky, CRIME AND PUNISHMENT focuses on the plight of a intellectual young man whose moral struggle with his belief system compels him to commit a horrendous crime. A psychological game of cat and mouse ensues with the investigator who hunts him down. Dreams, waking visions, even ghosts paint this psychological portrait of crime, guilt and retribution. Writers' Theater's original 2003 production of CRIME AND PUNISHMENT was honored with a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Adaptation.

The production team for CRIME AND PUNISHMENT includes: John Holt (scenic design), Stefin Sterberl (costume design), Claire Sangster (lighting design), Mikey Moran (sound design), Elyse Cowles (literary manager/dramaturg), Mike Sanow (technical director), Tosha Fowler (production manager) and Casey Peek (stage manager).
