Mamma Mia! Returns to Chicago, December 12-31

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' Mamma Mia!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, returns to Chicago for a limited holiday engagement December 12 - 31 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 West Randolph St.). 

"Inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs, writer Catherine Johnson's sunny, funny tale of family and friendship unfolds on a Greek island.  On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings 3 men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago," state press notes on the show, which features in its score songs such as "Dancing Queen"; "The Winner Takes It All"; "Money, Money, Money" and "Take A Chance on Me."

There are currently 10 productions of Mamma Mia! running concurrently around the world (8 permanent productions and 2 tours).  The show has earned a worldwide gross of over $1.6 billion dollars and played to audiences of more than 27 million people. 

The musical will play the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 West Randolph) from December 12 - 31.  The performance schedule is as follows:   Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays at 2 & 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 & 8 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. 

The performance on Tuesday, December 12 will begin at 8 p.m. There will not be a 2 p.m. performance on Wednesday, December 13. There will be a 7:30 p.m. performance on Sunday, December 17

Tickets for Mamma Mia! range in price from $37 - $85 and are available now at Broadway In Chicago Box Offices (151 W. Randolph St., 18 W. Monroe St. and 24 W.
