LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE Performs at Petterino's, 10/10

LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE cast members featuring Nora Dunn, Felicia Fields, Roni Geva, Katie O'Brien and Barbara Robertson perform at Petterino's (150 N. Dearborn St., Chicago), the downtown theater district go-to restaurant, for "Monday Night Live" on Monday, Oct. 10 beginning at 7:30 p.m., in addition to the singers who regularly showcase their talent during the cabaret-style "open mic" showcase.

LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, with its starry cast and wildly entertaining subject matter, is the toast of New York. This intimate collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron and directed by Karen Carpenter, opened in October, 2009 at New York's Westside Theatre to rave reviews and has been extended again and again by popular demand. Produced by Daryl Roth, this collection of vignettes and monologues is based on the best-seller by Ilene Beckerman, as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons' friends. Like the popular book, Love, Loss, And What I Wore uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to.

Petterino's "Monday Night Live," currently in its fifth year, is hosted by Chicago entertainment impresario Denise McGowan Tracy and Beckie Menzie. Menzie has appeared at venues including Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Room in New York and received numerous awards for her work as a cabaret entertainer. MNL has hosted more than 400 singers, from Tony Award winners to aspiring amateurs, since its debut as an impromptu musical showcase in 2007.

Diners can partake in light bites such as appetizers, sandwiches and salads, the full menu or Petterino's three-course "Seven After Seven" menu featuring a choice of seven appetizers, seven entrees and seven desserts for $19.95. Complimentary valet parking is available after 7 p.m.
