Coffee & Whiskey Productions will present the world premiere of the original play, anything and always... by Nic Wehrwein. anything and always... is directed by Matt Diel and features Michelle Alejandra Limon and Wesley James.

anything and always... opens at The Greenhouse Theater Center October 12, 2017 (running October 12-29, Thursday-Saturday @ 8pm, Sunday @ 3pm).

"Endings are sad, beginnings are exciting, the middle is a dance. In the beginning, Courtney dies. In the beginning, Art grieves - the start of the journey is the start of acceptance. Told in fragmented timelines of past and present, anything and always... dives into two interwoven narratives: Art and Courtney's story of connection and unavoidable loss expressed through love, punk rock and forevers, and the narrative of reflective memory as the pained catapult towards acceptance. Together, the narratives meet to tell the story of a relationship affected by devastating news, told with provocative humor, through the eyes and mouths of real people, dealing with a real problem. Above everything else, it's a story not about a disease, not about breast cancer, but about undying, unyielding, and unconditional love."

"anything and always... has been a long time coming, and I'm proud to be the one at the helm. This show is everything you want out of a modern play - it's an incredibly funny and heart-warming love story about death. Odd, right? It will leave a lot of people wanting to tell their loved ones how much they care for them. I don't like feelings, and even I get a little choked up with this show," says director Matt Diel. "We get to watch these two characters live, breathe, die, lose, and love, but never in the ways you expect. There's an honesty Nic put into these characters that makes them supremely relatable."

Movement Coach & Choreographer, Mary Iris Loncto, had this to say, "It's been super exciting watching the physical transformation of these characters. For one, Michelle [Alejandra Limon] is growing into a bona fide modern dancer. But it's even more moving...to see how our movement exercises piece together the relationship between the characters." Loncto went on to say that she's already seen the relationship between the two characters solidify, "and it's only going to get stronger from here."

anything and always... isn't a cancer play, though breast cancer does play a prominent role in the lives of the characters. At the center, it's a love story. It's about people navigating choppy waters on which they never expected to sail. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Young Survival Coalition.
