Chicago's Second City Comedy Club Cancels/Moves Performances Due to Fire, Thru 9/20
Chicago's Second City comedy club is cancelling or moving all performances through Sept. 20 until cleanup or restoration is complete from a fire that broke out in Old Town and destroyed its upstairs offices.
Classes will now be held at Tribeca Flashpoint College, Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago and Columbia College until further notice.
Four injuries were reported from the fire on August 26: three firefighters and a worker in the building.
Second City CEO and co-owner Kelly Leonard posted on his Facebook page, "Almost 30 years of my stuff at Second City is burned and gone.... But it's just stuff. The people are what's important."
Refunds will be issued to ticket holders, or they can rebook their ticket for a later performance.
