Co-Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han - Musical America's 2012 "Musicians of the Year" - present the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center on December 18, 2013, part of the Harris Theater Presents series and one of the highlights of the Theater's November/December performance calendar. Additional performances include the premiere of Generations, the first of a five-year project from Deeply Rooted Dance Theater on November 1, 2013, the premiere of Pipassa - The Seventh Love from Natya Dance Theatre, the return of Alejandro Cerrudo and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's evening-length One Thousand Pieces, and the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance celebrating the 15th anniversary of its annual Cuatro Festival. The Seventh Love - a work of dance theater - unfolds the journey of love in Buddhist teachings. This fusion of contemporary dialogue and world music is a bold new theatrical invention in its own right. Fresh off a wildly successful Sita Ram last season, which brought the story of Sita and Rama to life in daring new ways, Natya Dance Theatre writes the next chapter of its collaboration with David Kresnar of the Tony Award-winning Lookingglass Theatre Company.

The Chicago Jazz Orchestra Association presents Jon Faddis with the Chicago Jazz Orchestra conducted by Jeff Lindberg, in the Chicago premiere of MiLes Davis/Gil Evans landmark work, Miles Ahead. On the first half of the program the CJO will present a tribute to the great jazz composer and arranger Frank Foster, who passed away in 2011.

Puerto Rican Arts Alliance Cuatro Festival: 15th Anniversary Celebration

Established in 1998, the annual Cuatro Festival has become the largest Puerto Rican cultural event in the Midwest. Brandenburg Concertos

Celebrate the holidays with the complete Bach Brandenburg Concertos. Called a "New York holiday staple" by the New York Times, this festive performance is not to be missed. The concert features Joseph Lin, member of the acclaimed Juilliard String Quartet and winner of the First Prize at the inaugural Michael Hill International Violin Competition in New Zealand. The New York Times has lauded Lin as "a sensitive, passionate player with a glowing tone" and described his sound as "warm, flexible and perfectly centered."

"When we heard the Harris Theater was looking for a special way to commemorate its 10th anniversary, we couldn't think of anything more celebratory than sharing CMS' annual tradition of performing all of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos on one program with our Chicago audience," said CMS Co-Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han. "These six concerti contain some of the most colorful and festive music in the repertoire, and we are thrilled to bring them to Chicago."
