If you haven't been to Davenport's on a Sunday night at 7pm in the last month,  you've been missing out on 50 Years of Songs performed by the Chicago Cabaret Professionals.

With only two more decades left in the countdown, each week has been a tribute to 20th Century Songwriters. Starting March 2nd. we counted back from the 80s with George Howe music directing Rob Dorn, Elizabeth Doyle, Laura Freeman, Tim Hairston, Gillian Kelly, and Melissa Young. 

March 9th,  it was a tribute to the 70s with Becky Menzie, musical director with Amy Cole, Joan Curto, Alma Mendoza, Tom Michael, Marianne Murphy Orland, and Robert Whorton.

Last week, Mark Burnell, music director took his turn at the songs of the 60s with Anne Burnell directing the talented Keely Nicole, Daryl Nitz, Suzy Petri, Carolyn Wehner, 3 Girls 3, Gail Becker, Heather Moran, and MaryMonica Thomas.

It's time for the 50s this week, March 23 with James Cebastien, musical director and starring John Eskola, Michelle Greenberg, KT McCammond, Pam Peterson, Brad Thacker and Sami Scot.

The Songwriter's Series concludes next weekend on Sunday, March 30th with a tribute to the 40s. Bob Moreen is set as musical director with Tracy Adams, David Edelfelt, Claudia Hommel, Audrey Morris, Cheryl Szucsits and Kat Taylor.
