Often called a prequel to PETER PAN, it's the story of one girl, Molly, the daughter of an illustrious “starcatcher” who ventures to save the world from the devious Black Stache and his fellow swashbuckling pirates! As she sails the oceans on a ship called The Neverland, Molly, alongside an orphan simply named “boy,” must find and protect a mysterious chest that contains enough magic to transform the world. On this enchanted and whimsical adventure story, audiences will learn about friendship, loyalty, love and how a certain orphan becomes the mythical “boy who wouldn’t grow up.” This imaginative production took New York by storm and garnered five Tony Awards (2012) and a Drama Desk Award. It's written by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker and is based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.
Ages: Contains some mild adult humor and a few brief scenes that might frighten young children (PG)
