Evita is the iconic rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, based on the remarkable story of Argentina's former first lady Eva Peron and her rise from poverty to one of the most powerful political figures in midcentury Argentina. The production is directed by Steve Kaliski, who served on the directing team for the 2012 Broadway revival. Melissa Lozada leads the cast as Eva, with Neifert Enrique as Che and Ron Turner Diaz as Juan Perón, supported by an ensemble of local talent from the Metrolina region. The creative team includes choreographer Tod A. Kubo and music director Matthew Primm.
