An Enchanted Evening with Cirque du Vol at Lee Street Theatre

Lee Street Theatre invites you to our third annual Enchanted Evening with Cirque du Vol on May 19th, 2018 from 7pm until midnight. This live theatre and dinner experience is a black tie optional gala to benefit Lee Street Theatre and its educational programs.

Step into a mystical forest and be captivated by performers spinning magical stories and spellbinding fairy tales through the air. An Enchanted Evening with Cirque du Vol features cocktails, dinner, dancing, and over-the-top live performances. The acts include stilt walkers, snake charmers, aerial butterflies, and acrobats during cocktail hour, and a showcase featuring aerial silks, lyra, trapeze acts, juggling, triple hoops, and more during the after-dinner show. The dinner menu boasts of hand passed and plated appetizers, along with small plate stations and delectable desserts. A full bar will also be available.

The money we raise this year will support our 2018-2019 season and our Community Outreach Program, The My Mind Matters, My Words Matter Tour. The objective of this outreach program is to stimulate an interest in theatre for area students and to educate them in the use of devised theatre as a forum for ideas and issues related to themselves and to the world around them. Students will work with the Lee Street staff to write scripts, to create designs and to perform their works on the theatre ’s main stage. Playwrights selected to perform their works will be eligible to receive the 1st Annual Theatre Education Matters Scholarship. We are excited to provide this opportunity for young people to experience theatre and are grateful for the community’s continued support of this annual fundraiser.

Tickets to the fundraiser are $100 per person. A limited number of tables may be reserved for parties of 8-10 people. An Enchanted Evening with Cirque du Vol will be held at the Lee Street Theatre and Performing Arts Center at the Tom and Martha Smith Event Center, 329 N Lee Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
