The Art, Business and Craft of Stand-Up Seminars Held In Charlotte, NC 8/24
The Art, Business & Craft of Stand-Up Seminar Series will begin again on Monday, August 24th, 2009 in Charlotte, NC.
This class prepares a journeyman comedian for a fun and rewarding career as a professional entertainer. Seminar topics include: Professionalism, Joke Writing, Hosting, Pacing & Set Flow, Marketing, Merchandising, Your Comedy Business, and Life on the Road.
Class members also prepare and hone a tight, clean 5 minute set for a special showcase scheduled for Wednesday, October 21st, 2009.
Our lead instructors are Joel Pace and Johnny Millwater. Joel is lead booking agent for the largest chain of comedy clubs, The Comedy Zone, and is known for his critical eye. Johnny has made his full-time living as a stand-up comedian for the last 14 years and is masterfully skilled at set punch-up. Guest lecturers include comedienne Julie Scoggins and Candy & Potter of Charlotte radio fame.
