Old Courthouse Holds Auditions for SCOUNDRELS May 23 & 24

Old Courthouse Theatre (49 Spring Stree SW, Concord) is holding auditions for the comedy-musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels May 23 and 24 at 7-9pm.  Dirty Rotten Soundrels by David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane is based on the popular 1988 film about two fraudsters, Lawrence Hameson and Freddy Benson, living in the French Riviera.  The run date is August 5-22 with performances at 8PM and Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM. The following characters will be cast: Lawrence Jameson  -  40s to 50s attractive, urbane, very sophisticated Freddy Benson  -  30ish boyish, charming,  likable Christine Colgate  -  30s to 40 Beautiful, beguiling, sincere Andre Thibault  -  40 to 50 Lawerence's  cohort and associate, debonaire,  Frenchish Muriel  -  40ish maybe older,  rich American widow type,  Jolene  -  20 to 30 rich, spoiled, Oklahoma country gal, accent   Ensemble:5 or 6 men and women each who dance as couples,  sing a lot ,  and do a number of small but choice characters; Lenore Sophie Renee Croupier Conductor Waiter Nun Hotel Manager Maid Sailors Etc.
