LA Casting Director Joey Paul Jensen Hosts Workshop

Joey Paul Jensen has been a driving force working with talent in Hollywood for 20 years. Most recently Joey co-produced and cast the movie "Soul Surfer" for Sony. It's stars Anna Sophia Robb, Carrie Underwood, Dennis Quaid , and Helen Hunt. It will debut later this year. Joey Paul Casting has just cast "Project Oso" and "Pirate Jack" for Playhouse Disney. She is working with Universal Pictures and Imagine on "Blue Crush 2" and also "Honey 2". Earlier this year JP Casting did commercials for Nike, Toyota, and the No Smoking For Teens campaigns.

Joey Paul Jensen was instrumental in starting the careers of Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Alba, Hilary Duff, Aly Michalka, Cody Linley, Jason Earles (Hannah Montana) and Madison Pettis (Cory In The House). She began her career as a child actor with the Chicago Lyric Opera and theatre. Besides producing and casting, Joey also teaches and lectures regularly about the acting and auditioning process.

The workshops will consist of the following:

Parent Seminar - 2:30 - 3:30 PM
This will be a "Q and A" about the journey to Hollywood for actors and parents. It covers agents, managers, auditioning, submissions, screen-tests and contracts, among other items. Questions about the business that never get answered. It's a way to learn... Is Hollywood for you?

Kids 2 - 4:00 - 7:00 PM (ages 13 thru College (age 24) students)
This workshop will include voice, speech & movement exercises, improvisation, spontaneity, theatrical warm-up, cold reading & audition material. Scripts will be provided at the workshop.

Workshop sizes are limited to only 24 (kids) per session.

Cost per person:
Parent Seminar: $30.00
Kids 2: $75.00 (Special Rate for CPCC students, a savings of $50.00)
