DSI Comedy Theater Company Member Wins Performance with Jill Bernard
Minnesota resident Jill Bernard is a treasure in the world of improv. She is a noted performer, instructor and author. Recently, her company, HUGE Improv Theater in Minneapolis held a fundraiser and one auction prize was a chance to perform with Bernard. The winner was DSI Comedy Theater Company Member Kit Fitzsimmons. This hilarious show will run Saturday, September 22 at 9 p.m. All shows take place at DSI Comedy Theater, 200 N. Greensboro Street, located in the Carr Mill Mall between Elmo's and Southern Rail. Tickets cost $12 and are available online: www.DSIcomedytheater.com.
Jill Bernard, improviser extraordinaire, seasoned coach, and published author (Jill Bernard's Small Cute Book of Improv), is a founding member of HUGE Improv Theater in Minneapolis. Recently, HUGE Improv Theater held an auction fundraiser, where one lucky winner would get the opportunity to perform a two-person show with Bernard. She has appeared in the Triangle several times with her one-woman improvised musical Drum Machine and as part of the duo Scram.
Kit Fitzsimmons is currently a member of the DSI Harold team Cannon Factory, the Improv SLAM! ensemble, and BONE CRACKER. He coaches independent teams Mixed Signals and PT Scarborough Is A Movie. A Chapel Hill native, has been performing, directing and coaching improv for over a dozen years and has studied under Zach Ward, Porter Mason, Corey Brown, Ross White, Jonathan Karpinos, Scott Jennings and Jeremy Griffin.
