Children's Theatre Presents IF YOU TAKE A MOUSE TO SCHOOL, 2/4-26
This February, Children's Theatre of Charlotte presents a month full of performances for families. From Feb. 4-20, the Tarradiddle Players perform "If You Take a Mouse to School," adapted from the popular picture book by Laura Numeroff, in the Wachovia Playhouse. And from Feb. 25-26, the master drummers and dancers of Djembe Fire! bring the rhythms of Africa to the McColl Family Theatre.
If You Take a Mouse to SchoolIn this rollicking romp, Laura Numeroff's beloved Mouse protagonist heads into the classroom for a school day like no other! Because if you take a Mouse to school, first he'll ask you for your lunchbox - and then he'll want to get his paws on everything, from spelling and math to a messy science experiment. Adapted from the wildly popular picture book, and full of physical comedy and visual delights, this production is a hilarious treat for young audiences.
"If You Take a Mouse to School" is directed by Nicia Carla and stars the 2010-2011 Tarradiddle Players company: Salvador Garcia, Leslie Ann Giles, Darlene Parker and Stephen Seay.
The Tarradiddle Players are the Resident Touring Company of Children's Theatre of Charlotte. In addition to appearances on Children's Theatre stages, this professional four-person troupe spreads the joy of live theatre across the Southeast. This season, the Tarradiddle Players will travel from Connecticut to South Carolina, performing in schools, community centers and towns for audiences who might otherwise never see a live play. Meet the Tarradiddle Players and hear stories from the road at an audience talkback following the opening night performance on Feb. 4.
