Children's Theatre of Charlotte has announced its 79th season, featuring a lineup of classics, new works, immersive experiences, and returning audience favorites. The 2026–27 season invites families, students, and theatre lovers of all ages to experience stories that inspire imagination, spark curiosity, and celebrate the power of live performance.
The season includes world premieres, Broadway favorites, sensory-friendly productions, historical storytelling, and family musicals designed to engage audiences from preschoolers to adults.

Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure: A Sensory Theatre Experience
Aug. 20–30, 2026
Wells Fargo Playhouse | For Pre-K
Created by Caleb Sigmon and made possible by the City of Charlotte and Children's Theatre of Charlotte, this immersive, participatory experience invites audiences directly into the world of Neverland. Designed especially for preschoolers — including children on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities — the production features seating onstage, whimsical puppetry, music, and theatrical magic in a gentle, relaxed environment where children are free to move, explore, and play.
