CAST Offers Patrons A Chance To Toast The Revolution During French-Wine Weekend

By: Nov. 04, 2009

TOAST TO THE REVOLUTION!-Chance for a Bottle of Bordeaux Wine this Weekend!

Response to our production of MARAT/SADE is such that CAST is declaring French Revolution Wine Weekend! At each performance, Monsieur Defarge will draw among the guillotined tickets for the lucky winner of a delicious bottle of red Bordeaux. Join us this weekend for some choice French imports and great theatre.

The full title says it all in this theatre extravaganza. The audience will see a play-within-a-play. The Marquis de Sade was a prisoner at Charenton and was allowed to write and direct plays as therapy for the patients at the insane asylum.

Using music, dance, debate, and all-out theatrics, this tour de force is one of the legendary plays of the 20th century. CAST brings this thrilling and horrifying work back to the stage in an intimate production that puts the audience all too close to the lunatics.
