The Laramie Project documents the response of the town of Laramie, Wyoming to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, a young gay man. The playwright and company members interviewed residents, police, and Matthew’s friends in an attempt to understand what happened and why. This show is a collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
