The season concludes with a buoyant retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph in this early Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice collaboration. After his 11 brothers sell him into slavery in Egypt, Joseph is singled out by the Pharaoh for his ability to interpret dreams. When Joseph correctly predicts and prepares for the famine, his brothers are forced to return to Egypt for food, and hopefully their brother’s forgiveness. With a cast of characters as colorful as Joseph’s coat and a score that jumps from rock and roll to calypso to disco, this jubilant musical will be fun for the whole family.
