THE GONG SHOW OFF-BROADWAY Comes To Harrisburg, PA

By:

The Smash hit Gong Show Off-Broadway production comes to the Scottish Rite Theater for one night, Saturday, Aug 17th 2018 with the acclaimed original NY Cast. Fresh from a 3-year SMASH run in NYC, The Gong Show Off-Broadway comes to Harrisburg as part of its pre-broadway tour.

Part musical, part comedy, part parody, part homage, this is the theatrical adaptation of the "greatest TV show in human history." Featuring a permanent cast of mind-blowing talent, curated from around the globe. These are the masters. While these talented eccentrics battle it out for the coveted prize of $516.32, they are dedicated to the point of obsession to astonishing and delighting every member of the studio audience.

Not to be confused with an amateur talent contest, this is a true off-broadway level theatrical event. The Gong Show Off-Broadway takes the concept of the iconic TV show and elevates it to a one-of-a-kind live experience. This is the Sony Pictures Television authorized stage production.

Executive Producer Leslie Gold is the creator of the show. "This is why people come to the theater- to be delighted, astonished, and to laugh until their sides cramp. I'm proud to say, this show delivers all of that."

The Scottish Rite Theatre is located in uptown Harrisburg, PA just minutes from the spectacular Capitol Building. The 1200 seat theatre is located in the Scottish Rite Cathedral Masonic Temple, a beautiful example of mid-1950's modern architecture.

Recently it was decided to present more entertainment to the public including unique diverse shows, concerts, theater performances and arts of all genres to be a significant part of the entertainment environment in Harrisburg and the Central Pennsylvania area.

The Gong Show Off-Broadway is a fully cast, professionally produced theatrical show.

Executive Produced and Directed by Leslie Gold (The Award-Winning Radiochick) and produced by Emmy-Nominated Peppy Castro and Broadway's Kenn Lubin in association with Sony Television Pictures, THE GONG SHOW opened in New York at B.B. King's Blues Club & Grill (42nd Street) on Thursday, August 12, 2010 as a tri-annual sold out event, which garnered across-the-board rave notices that, after two years, led to a 3 year residency in the brand new Cutting Room to more critically acclaimed sold-out shows and where it held forth through May 1, 2015 when it opened Off-Broadway at The Davenport Theatre on 45th Street.
