Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts Hosts Fall Festival and Open House

By: Nov. 09, 2017

Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts, one of the nations pre-eminent arts summer day camp, will host its first ever Fall Festival, as part of its upcoming Open House on Sunday, November, from 11AM-2PM at Usdan's gorgeous 140-wooded acre campus (185 Colonial Springs Road, Wheatley Heights, NY).

Campers - old and new - along with their families will mingle as they learn more about Usdan's 70+ programs, ranging from Visual Art and Dance; Musical Theater to Archery; Swimming to Animation and Chess.

The fun-filled ay will celebrate everything that makes Usdan unique and will include autumn activities such as Golf cart hay rides, dancing to DJ spun tunes; a slack line; homecoming float decorating and more. Light lunch, refreshments, warm drinks, information and 2018 pre-registration will be available throughout the day. In fact, families who pre-register for the 2018 summer at the Fall Festival will receive $100 priority enrollment discount and a chance to "spin to win" merchandise or a tuition discount.

This event is FREE and children ages 4-18 are welcome when accompanied by an adult. No drop-offs will be permitted. Reservations can be made by emailing info@udsan.org or signing up via the Usdan website: www.udsan.org/visit.

Now entering its 50th year, Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts (http://www.usdan.org) offers nearly 70 programs in music, dance, theater, visual arts, creative writing, nature, recreation and chess, annually hosting more than 1,400 students from towns throughout the New York City metro area. Open to all young people from age 4 to 18, no audition is needed for most courses, and transportation is provided in air-conditioned buses that depart from most New York-area neighborhoods. One-third of Usdan's students receive scholarship assistance based on family need or merit. Although the mission of Usdan is for every child to establish a relationship with the arts, the unique stimulation of the campus has caused many to go on to arts careers. Alumni include members of Broadway shows and major music, theater, and dance ensembles such as the Boston Pops and the New York City Ballet.
