Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival to Roll the Dice with GUYS AND DOLLS; Cast Announced!


The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) launches its 2017 season with the blockbuster musical comedy, Guys and Dolls. The show runs June 7 through June 28 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.


The show was last seen on the Playhouse stage in 1995. The 2017 season also includes Parade, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Ghost The Musical, and Always...Patsy Cline.

The cast includes Michael Lomenda (Nick Massi in Jersey Boys - Broadway, Film, and National Tour) as Sky Masterson, Traci Bair (Grace Farrell in Annie/National Tour) as Sarah Brown, Julie Cardia (Lily St. Regis in Annie/National Tour and Madison Square Garden; The Music Man: Concert Tour) as Miss Adelaide, and Carlos Lopez (Broadway: Man of La Mancha, Annie Get Your Gun, Wonderful Town) as Nathan Detroit.

Becky Barta (Mme. Thenardier in Les Miserables Broadway/National Tour; Mrs. Claus in Radio City Christmas Spectacular) returns to the Festival as General Cartwright and James Judy (Broadway: Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Into The Woods, and A Christmas Carol) will play Arvide Abernathy. Danny Lindgren (Will Parker in Oklahoma!/FLMTF, Chasing Rainbows, Damn Yankees, The Most Happy Fella at Goodspeed Opera House) will play Benny, Josh Katzker will play Lieutenant Brannigan, Wes Webb will play Big Jule, Jonathan Cobrda will play Rusty, Aaron Burr will play Harry the Horse, and Jefferson Behan will rock the boat as Nicely Nicely.

The ensemble will feature: Banji Aborisade, Alex Hathaway, Crawford Horton, Jessica Ice, Aimee Lane, Caleb Marshall, Eddie Olmo, Anna Sheridan, Gabi Stapula, and Jen Thiessen.

The show is directed and choreographed by Ricky Hinds with Lizz Picini as assistant choreographer. Guys and Dolls will be designed by Shoko Kambara, lighting design by Dan Ozminkowski, sound design by Miles Polaski, and costume design by Tiffany Howard

The 2017 season will launch with the Festival Gala on Saturday, June 3 - a stylish and fun event in the theme of Guys and Dolls - complete with live band, dinner, dancing and casino tables.

There, we present a new musical in development each week, encouraging audience feedback and discourse in our new works series, "The PiTCH." This year, we celebrate the sixth anniversary of "The PiTCH," and to date, we have given development opportunity and visibility to 54 new musicals.
