Danny Kean & Valerie Ghent Appear In Concert At Woodstock Playhouse

Producer/Executive Producer, Elynn Diamond, is proud to present a DOUBLE HEADER with two of the music industry's most acclaimed R & B, Blues, Soul, Funk, Pop and Jazz Artists, DANNY KEAN / VALERIE GHENT In Concert, the second concert in her year-long "2019 In Concert Series" being held at the Iconic WOODSTOCK PLAYHOUSE.

Directed by Tony Award-Winner, Wayne Cilento, and Co-Produced by Emmy Award-Winner, Rick Traum, Kean and Ghent will perform at the Woodstock Playhouse on Saturday, May 11, 2019.

About the Artists:

Danny Kean has performed on stages across the globe from local bars in New York City to the notable Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Mr. Kean has received numerous accolades as a jazz performer including four consecutive wins for Amateur Night at the Apollo early in his career, as well as the youngest member to be inducted in the New York Blues Hall of Fame. His latest EP, Here It Is, has earned critical praise and has produced three charting singles.

Performing on this Double-Header with Mr. Kean is Valerie Ghent. Wowing audiences with her emotive vocals and bluesy, funky piano style, Ms. Ghent shares her musical talents behind the scenes as well with her experience in recording-engineering that led her to record with Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan, and Patti LaBelle.

The native New Yorker has five acclaimed CDs under her own label and has performed on stage with artists as diverse as Iggy Pop, Defunkt, and Dr. Maya Angelou. "DANNY KEAN and VALERIE GHENT are brilliant songwriters, and I mean BRILLIANT, Genius Musicians. Their voices elicit power-filled 'feel good sensations for the soul'...Both Danny, and Valerie, own the stage with full command coupled with their individual gifts for allowing one on one intimacy with their audience." says Diamond. With Producing this Double-Header Event in their "2019 In Concert Series", Diamond brought together an 'Inspiring Team' of industry pro's in the Production, Theatre and Music Worlds:
Director, Wayne Cilento, who is one of the most acclaimed triple-threats in the Entertainment Industry. Nominated for seven Tony Awards, he won his first for his breakthrough choreography on the historic Broadway Production of The Who's Tommy; Rick Traum, Elynn's Co-Producer, is an Emmy Award Winner and Entertainment Executive. He was Commercial Producer for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, the Director of Late Night Programming for NBC, and "Executive In Charge" of Saturday Night Live; and Lighting Designer, David Grill, who has designed lighting for Theatre, Dance, Opera, Television, Architectural Projects, and Industrials taking him from the Great Wall of China
to the Great Stage of Radio City Music Hall. He has received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lighting Direction for the Opening Ceremony Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
