Utah Shakespeare Festival - Actor Training

The Utah Shakespeare Festival's Actor Training camp is a week-long residential pre-college intensive for high school students ages 15 to 17, held in Cedar City, Utah at the Festival's home on the campus of Southern Utah University. Participants train with professional acting and artistic company members of the Festival in a daily program of acting and theatre workshops. Tuition of $1,500 includes dormitory accommodations, all meals, and tickets to seven Festival plays; a $750 option includes meals and play tickets but not housing. The 2027 session runs July 12 to 17, with registration closing at 5 p.m. on July 4, 2027, and scholarship applications accepted through May 2027. The Festival also runs a Junior Actor Training camp for younger teens and a Summer PLAYmakers camp for children.
