Teen Intensive: Perform to Transform

Perform to Transform is a one-week teen performing arts intensive presented by The Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University in University Park, Illinois. Open to ages 12-18, the camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Working with industry professionals, campers develop their individual voices as catalysts for change through the performing arts and learn about the business of performance. Each participant leaves with a professional headshot suitable for submission to agencies. The week ends with a public showcase of spoken word, monologues, improvisation, and devised work in Sherman Hall; tuition includes two tickets to that performance. The intensive is sponsored by the South Suburban Chicago Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 3 PM daily. Final performance Friday, August 7, 2026 at 6 PM in Sherman Hall. Both the total registration fee and the registration form are due by the July 30 deadline.
