Strand Academy: Performula Theatre Camp

Performula is the Strand Academy's week-long musical theatre summer camp at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in downtown Marietta, Georgia. The 2026 session runs Monday July 6 through Friday July 10 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is open to rising 3rd through 6th graders. Campers learn proper stage etiquette, build musical theatre acting, dance and vocal technique, and work as an ensemble to bring a story to the stage. Mornings focus on learning and rehearsing dance numbers followed by scene work, while afternoons are devoted to vocal work and show-specific technique. The week ends with a showcase for family and friends at 3:00 PM on Friday July 10. Students are asked to wear closed-toed shoes and clothing they can move in. Tuition is $350, with a $310 early-bird rate that closed May 1, 2026, and tuition assistance is available by application. Performula began in 2011 and is the program the Strand Academy grew from.
