About this camp
Silver Line Theatre Exchange is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theatre in downtown Staunton, Virginia, operating out of a warehouse converted into an intimate blackbox space. SLTE describes its approach as human-first performing arts education and offers year-round performance training for students from pre-kindergarten through adult, including youth classes, adult classes and summer camps that explore acting techniques, contemporary dance and improv. Faculty are professional actors, dancers and experienced practitioners. Scholarships are available for classes. Alongside education, SLTE produces a season of small-scale theatrical works and play readings spanning professional artists living in the community and committed high school students, plus monthly Saturday Night Improv showcases, National Theatre Live screenings, and community-hosted Local Exchange events.
