Rock Camp is a two-week, full-day summer program run by the Collaborative School of the Arts at Universal Preservation Hall in downtown Saratoga Springs. Young musicians ages 10-16 rehearse and perform rock and pop repertoire drawn from the 1960s to the present, working with professional instructors on guitar, bass, drums, keys and voice. Workshops cover technique, group playing, stage presence and the practical side of landing gigs. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and culminates in a finale concert in the Great Hall at UPH. Admission is by video audition and an intermediate playing level is expected; tuition assistance is available.
