Eastside Arts Society (EAS) presents the return of its highly anticipated two-day summer art-making event, CREATE! Arts Festival, taking place at Strathcona Park on Saturday, July 22 and at various Eastside Arts District studios on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

Uma Paranjpe will make her Broadway principal debut tonight, May 9, in the title role of Life of Pi! This will mark the first time the role is played by a female on Broadway.

Stage Door Theatre's final main stage show of their season is Peter and the Starcatcher by: Rick Elice and Wayne Baker.

To celebrate the 12th-anniversary of Tanghalan Mandaluyong Inc. (TMI), two-time Aliw Awards nominee and grassroots theater company, brings back its annual 'Hesus Nazareno' passion play on Good Friday (April 7) and Black Saturday (April 8) at the Hulo Covered Court, San Jose St., Barangay Hulo, Mandaluyong City.

Aliw Awards’ Best Cultural Group nominee Tanghalan Mandaluyong Inc., a nonprofit and community-based theater company whose original purpose was to introduce the rudiments of the performing arts among the less-privileged youths in Mandaluyong City, is one shining example of a selfless warrior.

ArtsUP! LA is presenting the world premiere of Volun-Tears, a powerful play by Korean War Veteran Lester Probst, based on the true experiences of women who have suffered sexual harassment and sexual abuse while serving in the United States Armed Forces, performed by U.S. Veterans. I decided to speak with Lester Probst on what inspired him to write the play and what message he hopes to instill in audience members to start the road to achieving equality within the ranks of our military, especially for women.

AlterTheater’s 2022/2023 season includes a mix of virtual, hybrid, and in-person programming, including both outdoor and indoor in-person performances. AlterTheater also continues to provide virtual performing arts workshops and an in-person sleepaway summer camp through its Arts Learning Project for Native Youth. 

In 2021 The Musical Stage Company celebrated an extraordinary summer, bringing live musical experiences to over 6000 Torontonians: the company presented BLACKOUT, an incredible new Canadian musical under the stars in the glorious High Park Amphitheatre; they produced another sell-out series of PORCHSIDE SONGS travelling cabaret concerts; and launched MUSICAL MOMENTS, bringing free street parties, jam sessions, and surprise performances to every corner of the city. 

The Impact Research on the SPARK program was created by New Victory Theater and WolfBrown highlighting the impact performing arts education has in arts-deprived school communities. WolfBrown developed a research protocol that measured the impacts of the arts on young people.

ArtsUP! LA presents VETERANS EMPOWERMENT THEATRE COMEDY NIGHT, a one-night comedy event where talented Veterans get on the mic and speak the truth!!  This will be a night of poignant, hilarious stand-up comedy that you don’t want to miss on November 4th at 7PM at The Blue Door Theatre, 9617 Venice Blvd, Culver City, CA.  The show will also be screened virtually: link to be provided with ticket purchase. Veterans Comedy Night will also be re-screened in honor of Veterans Day on Nov. 11th.

The season starts with an audio play by Andrew Saito, Br'er Peach, produced in collaboration with The Parsnip Ship and in association with Business Lunch Productions. The season continues with a much-needed comedic romp, Snag by Tara Moses. The season closes in Summer 2022 with the long-awaited, COVID-postponed Pure Native by Vickie Ramirez.

Ever wonder what it's like to be blind? Find out on Thursday, July 29, at 8PM when you join an online/virtual performance, 'Private Eyes: A Blind Experience,' an unforgettable event in which audience members become detectives who must use their senses to help solve a mystery case - all while blindfolded! This hour-long interactive audio drama will be performed entirely by blind actors from ArtsUp! LA's nationally recognized program, Theatre By The Blind.

Elvis Presley's Graceland has announced the faculty of the 2021 Graceland Performing Arts Camp, as it returns for its third year on July 13 - 18. Special Guest Mentor this year is Patrick Dunn. Having made his NYC Theatre debut at age 12, Patrick most recently led the North American tour of the musical Les Misérables in the role of Jean Valjean.
