Our two-week performance intensives mount a fully-realized junior musical in just two weeks! You will be cast in, rehearse, and perform in a musical complete with set, costumes and props. There's no better way to learn musical theatre than by doing it, and this show offers the chance to do just that.
Winnifred the Woebegone is just a simple swamp princess looking to win the heart of Prince Dauntless. But can she pass the impossible test Queen Aggravain has in store for her? Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larken and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides some side-splitting shenanigans. After all, a princess is a delicate thing.
Campers must bring their own towel, snacks, lunch, and drinks (refillable water bottle) each day. We are a NUT FREE location. No refunds are provided for camps, but campers can transfer to another week of camp up to one week before their indicated start date at no additional charge.
*Because of the fast paced nature of our performance intensives, we recommend that participants experience at least one full length production before participating in the condensed two week rehearsal process.
