NORTH STAR CAMP FOR BOYS - CAMP INFORMATION
Camp Type: Overnight Session Length: 4 Weeks 8 Weeks Camp Focus: Traditional Non-Arts Primary Arts Programming Avail

Obviously camp is fun. North Star Never loses sight of that. But if it is only fun then we are missing an opportunity for real education for living. We view camp as a preparatory experience of living in the real world. Fun is used and directed here to develop a sense of community and confidence, a balance of competition and cooperation. The North Star program offers a well balanced variety of activities. Each camper has his choice of extensive athletic, waterfront, adventure and creative arts activities. There is something for everyone!

A well rounded program provides kids the chance to create and express in a wide variety of ways. Our arts and crafts program allow campers to work in many different media such as clay, leather, lanyards, glass, wood, and the nature environment. Campers can build a rocket and launch it into space or they can take pictures and enhance them through our digital photography program. We have plenty of opportunities for our thespians to sing in our Musical Camper Show or campfire programs and for our musicians to perform in front of the group. North Star’s creative arts provides campers opportunities to use their hands, minds and imagination. We are proud that our alumni can be seen on national TV, in concert halls throughout the country or on the Big Screen. North Star Alumni include Gene Wilder, Chip Zien, Paul Adelstein, Joshua Radin and most recently Jeff Kite performed on The Letterman Show!
