Intro to Acting Shakespeare (Middle School)

Introduction to Acting Shakespeare is a one-week afternoon camp from The Globe School at Actors' Theatre of Columbus for students entering grades 6-8, held July 27-31, 2026 from 1:30 to 5pm. Campers tackle Shakespeare's language directly, learning practical tools for understanding verse, intention and character, and perform scenes from Shakespeare in a final showing. Tuition is $250 per student; the code 2CAMPS takes $50 off each camp when two or more are purchased, and need-based scholarships are available by application. Related offerings include an Acting Shakespeare intensive for students entering grades 9-12, July 20-24, and an adult Performing Shakespeare class August 24-28.

For students entering grades 6-8. A more advanced Acting Shakespeare intensive for entering grades 9-12 runs July 20-24, 1:30-5pm, and an adult Performing Shakespeare class runs August 24-28, 6:30-9pm. 2026 registration for the middle school section is closed.
