Camp Wekeela

Camp Wekeela is a coed overnight summer camp on Little Bear Pond in Hartford, Maine, serving boys and girls ages 6 to 16. Campers can attend a full season, a first or second session, or a two-week rookie session, with separate Kids Camp and Teen Camp tracks and a Leadership in Training program for rising 11th graders. The camp draws roughly 400 campers a summer from 37 states and 33 countries and emphasizes counselors serving as role models. Programming spans creative and performing arts, sports, outdoor adventure and off-camp trips, with optional add-ons such as horseback riding, ice skating and hockey, surfing and golf. Wekeela is a nut-aware campus offering specialty diet meals, and is accredited by the American Camp Association and a member of Maine Camp Experience. An off-season office operates in Delray Beach, Florida.

About 280 campers per session and roughly 400 across the summer, drawn from 37 U.S. states and 33 countries. Separate Kids Camp and Teen Camp (grades 7-9) tracks, plus a Leadership in Training program for current 10th graders that includes a community service trip to Puerto Rico. Sibling discounts of $150-$350. Optional add-on programming includes ice skating and hockey, horseback riding, golf and surf trips, and a graphic design internship.
