BrooklineSmart Summers

BrooklineSmart Summers is the children's enrichment program of Brookline Adult & Community Education, part of the Public Schools of Brookline, based at 115 Greenough Street. Now in its 28th year, it offers themed one- and two-week day programs for children ages 5 to 14 running weekdays between early July and mid-August. Offerings span the performing arts and other subjects, including creating and performing original musicals, puppet theatre, visual art, web building, Spanish language and basketball. The theatre track gives young performers a chance to explore acting, music, dance and art each day, working with professional artists and educators to build an original show; students learn dialogue and choreography and help create scripts, sets and musical numbers, with each session ending in a performance.
