The Art of Becoming is a contemporary musical theatre cabaret about the beautiful, chaotic, and confusing process of figuring out who you’re becoming in your 20s. Through songs about chasing dreams, taking risks, heartbreak, failure, reinvention, and finding your way, a dynamic ensemble of performers asks the question: What if not having it all figured out is exactly where we’re supposed to be? From dreaming big and chasing what’s next to facing setbacks, taking risks, and finding the courage to start over, this cabaret captures the messy, exhilarating reality of figuring it all out. Audiences can expect to hear a fresh mix of musical theatre and contemporary favorites, including “A Million Dreams,” “When He Sees Me,” “What Was I Made For?,” “I’d Rather Be Me,” “My Days,” and many more. Heartfelt, humorous, and full of honesty, The Art of Becoming is a celebration of the dreams we’re chasing, the plans that don’t go as expected, and the person we’re still becoming. Whether you’re thriving, struggling, starting over, or simply trying to figure out what’s next, this is a night for anyone who’s ever felt like they’re still under construction.
