SUE MATSUKI, Bistro, Julie Wilson, and multi-MAC Award-winning Cabaret/Jazz performing artist, sings all Broadway songs in an encore performance of THIS BROAD'S WAY, recently performed at Crazy Coqs in London and ACT2 in Puerto Vallarta! Songs from Wonderful Town, Damn Yankees, Dr. Dolittle, Sweeny Todd, City of Angels, Cinderella, The King & I, How to Succeed in Business, Kiss Me Kate, Wicked...and MORE, written by Comden & Green, Bernstein, Bricusse, Sondheim, Zippel, Coleman, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Porter and MORE! These are songs Matsuki would never be cast to sing, songs sung totally out of context from the show, songs with a “new take,” American Songbook standards that came out of a show, great songs cut from shows, and other surprises all done THIS BROAD'S WAY! Featuring the Gregory Toroian Trio - SKIP WARD on bass, DAVID SILLIMAN on drums and musical director GREGORY TOROIAN on the keys/vocals! Directed by LINA KOUTRAKOS. This also marks Matsuki's 31st year working with musical director Toroian and her 39th year working at the iconic DON’T TELL MAMA.
“She is refreshingly and amazingly funny with all of her audience chit-chat. Not only can Ms. Matsuki tell stories in song, she is (in a word) hysterical. Sue and the band create a bona fide play within the play, a play that is an extremely well-crafted piece of theater, and one that provides Sue with some of her best vocals this writer has heard.” – Stephen Mosher, Broadway World.
