FROM CORINNE’S HEART, a new musical written, produced, composed, and directed by Charles Mandracchia, played a sold-out performance recently at 54 Below. Check out highlights in the video here!
Inspired by true events, the musical follows Corinne, who is diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and struggles to accept her condition until she finds hope through her relationship with Tony. A special message was delivered during the evening by Tina Brown.
Music direction was by Mitch Marcus of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
The cast included Arielle Joy Hubbard (Disney’s Anastasia) as Corinne Scott Fraser O’Brien (Camelot, Jesus Christ Superstar) as Tony; Hannah Thompson (Friends! The Musical Parody) as Anne; Keith Crowningshield (Grand Hotel, Jelly’s Last Jam) as Doctor Gerard Ken Jennings (Urinetown, Side Show, Grand Hotel) as The Miracle Man; Olympia Eyal (film, television, and live performances) as little Marissa; Xavier Wilson (Graduate of Belmont University’s Musical Theatre BFA program); and Jessi Shieman (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Urinetown).
