Unit J to Host BROOKLYN FREEDOM CONCERT: INAUGURATION OF HOPE This Week
Unit J will host its first annual "Brooklyn Freedom Concert" in Bushwick (www.unitjbushwick.com) this Thursday, January 19 at 7 p.m.
Unit J is a collective art space in Bushwick, Brooklyn that creates and host live concerts, video/photo shoots, and film screenings. Once a factory is now its home and creative playground. Learn more here.
The BROOKLYN FREEDOM CONCERT is a mix rock, opera, classical, and spoken word. Inspired by the inclusivity and equality of all people!
Hosted by Petra Fried, the evening will feature local musicians, new works by classical composers, instrumentalists, Brooklyn's own Opera Cowgirls, and spoken word.

The Audre Lorde Project concentrates on radical nonviolent activism around progressive issues within New York City, especially relating to queer and transgender communities, AIDS and HIV activism, pro-immigrant activism, prison reform and organizing among youth of color. It is named for the lesbian-feminist poet and activist Audre Lorde and was founded in 1994.
The Brooklyn Community Pride Center provides a safe, common space offering physical and mental health services, social support, recreational and cultural programming, as well as being a hub of information for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and families in Brooklyn.
